German polar survey vessel Grönland (1867)-

Built by Tolfee Toleffsen, Skavenik, Norway in 1867. In 1868 owned and used by the German master Carl Koldewey for a voyage towards Greenland and Spitsbergen, in 1871 sold back to Norway and in 1973 acquired by the Deutsches Schiffahrtsmuseum. Dimensions 29,30 x 6,10 x 2,20 metres, gross register tonnage 48 tons and a sail area of 300 square metres.
