Laid down by Flenderwerke/Krögerwerft, Vegesack, Germany on 25 June 1993, launched on 23 March 1994 and commissioned on 22 November 1994, Displacement 3.586 tons and as dimensions 100,55 x 15,40 x 4,05 metres or 319.11 x 50.6 x 13.3 feet. Fitted out with 1-2.562kW Deutz-MWM SBV diesel and bow thrusher allowing a speed of 15 knots. Range 2.600 nautical miles. Cargo capacity 24-standard 6,2 metres container. Supplies 700 cubic metres fuel, 60 cubic metres aviation fuel for helicopters, 280 cubic metres fresh water, 160 ton ammunition and 40 ton supplies. Crew numbered 40 standard to which another 38 p34sons cold be added. Lacking hanger but fitted out with helicopter deck accessible for Sea King and larger helicopters. Armament consists of 2 Fliegerfaust MANPADS do surface-to-air missiles and 2-2,7cm MLG-27 remote controlled auto cannons (in the past 2-2cm Rheinmetall Rh202 auto cannon.
