Swedish navy wanted to replace aged torpedo cruisers according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1907-1908 No. 8

An item reported that the Swedish navy intended the obsolete torpedo cruisers (1) now used for reconnaissance purposes to replace by new ships.(2) Displacement 885 tons and as dimensions 83,82 x 8,08 x 2,17 metres. With a horsepower of 11.500 ihp was the speed 30 miles and with a speed of 15 miles and a coal bunker capacity of 220 ton was the range 3.000 miles. The armament was to consist of 6-10,5cm/4.1” quick firing guns, 2 machineguns and 2-45cm/17.7” torpedo launchers. Building costs 2.473.000 mark.

1. Probably the Örnen-class consisting of the Örnen (1896), Claes Horn (1898), Jacob Bagge (1898), Psilander (1899) and Clas Uggla (1899).
2. Probably never realized. The Örnen-class torpedo cruisers still served for the coming decades.
