Germany-flagged, homeport Rostock, later Warnemünde, call sign DRBE and MMSI 211914000. Type K130/Braunschweig-class consisting of the Braunschweig, Ludwigshafen am Rhein, Oldenburg, Erfurt and Magdeburg and preceded by Gepard-class. Laid down by Lürssenwerft, Bremen, Germany on 14 April 2006, launched on 26 September 2007, due to problems during trials not commissioned in 2009, commissioned on 21 March 2013.
Class technical characteristics are displacement of 1,840 tons and as dimensions 89m 12 x 13,28 x 3,4 metres or 292.5 x 43.7 x 11.2 feet. Machinery consisted of 2 MTU 20V 1163 TB 93 diesels with as horsepower 14.8MW allowing a speed of 26 knots and a range of 4.000 nautical miles with a speed of 15 knots. Crew numbers 65 men. Armament consists of 1-7,6cm/3” Oto Melare gun, 2 Mauser BK-25 auto cannon, 4 RBS15 Mk 3 anti ship missiles, 2x21 cell RAM CIWS missile launchers, able to lay mines (2 mine racks of 34 Mk 12 naval mines and fitted out with helicopter pad and hangar for 2 Camcopter S-100.
