Dutch minesweeper (ex-YMS-155, J-955, BYMS 2155, MV-38, MV-37, M837, A922) Hr.Ms. Vliestroom (1942) 1947-1962

Of the Borndiep-class. Laid down by Burger Boat Co., Manitowoc, USA as the YMS 155 on 29 June 1942, launched on 27 October 1942, handed over to the British Royal Navy on 4 March 1943, became the J-1955 and later the BYMS-2155, returned to USA custody on 24 March 1946, handed over to the Royal Netherlands Navy in 1947, stricken US Naval Register on 16 September 1947,classified as M837 since October 1950, commissioned as dive vessel A922 since 15 April 1956, decommissioned in 1962, sold to M.W. Hollander, Amsterdam, Netherlands on 11 December 1964 and resold to England on 4 October 1965 where she became the North Sea supplier William R.

Displacement 270 ton and as dimensions 41,5 x 7,5 x 2,4 metres. Crew numbered 32 men. With a horsepower of 1.000hp was her speed 15 knots. The armament consisted of 1-8,9cm gun and 2-2cm machineguns.
