Dutch tug Amsterdam 1937-1947 and Adrien Letzer 1947-1961

During the Second World War used by the British Royal Navy as salvage tug.
Laid down by Jan Smit Czn., Alblasserdam, Netherlands with yard number 522 for account of Bureau Wijsmuller on 6 July 1937, launched on 12 December 1937, handed over on 11 May 1938, sold to Remorquage Letzer S.A., Antwerp, Belgium (since 1954 Union dee Remorquage et de Sauvetage S.A.) in June 1947 and renamed Adrien Letzer and sold in second quarter 1961 to the N.V. Machinehandel&Scheepssloperij De Koophandel, Nieuw Lekkerland, Netherlands to be broken up. . Call sign PCQE. Gross register tonnage 386 tons and as dimensions 42.57 (between perpendiculars)-45,00 (over all) x 8,35 x 4,57 metres. Fitted out with 1-3 cylinder 1.300 ihp triple expansion engine.
