The submarine service of the Yugoslavian navy according to a CIA report dated 21 February 1949

An item reported that the Yugoslavian navy possessed over several submarines divided over several harbours with the submarine base for fitting out submarines located at Komiza on the Island of Lissa [island Vis in the Adriatic Sea, Croatia]. There was also a school [the Skola Ratne Mornarice] commanded by director lieutenant colonel Andre Bezanic for training submarine crews. At the moment were 180 pupils attending the courses. The submarines J. 114 (Jadran), J. 115 (Jugoslavjia) and J.117 (Tito) at were stationed at Kotor [Montenegro], the J. 112 at Split [Croatia], respectively one unnamed submarine at Gravos [Gruz, Croatia], Sibenik [Croatia] and Pola [Pula, Croatia} and the pocket submarines J.120 and J. 121 were stationed at Budva [Montenegro].
