German commandeur S. Ariaans returned from Greenland according to the Dutch newspaper Utrechtse courant dated 17 August 1791

An item reported the arrival at Hamburg, Germany of the German commandeur S. Ariaans returning with 3, 5 quardelen seal blubber from Greenland. He left the 74 degrees on 12 July and spoke off Bergen a Danish commandeur bound for Bergen who left the ice on 20 July. At that moment caught J. Hogerzyl and G.J. Adriaan each 3 and Jan Blankman and C. Boekjes each 2 whales. Ariaans said furthermore that the commandeurs C. Petersen had 1,5 whale 48 quardelen and B. Meynders 1,5 whale 80 quardelen.
