Irish cargo ship Irish Poplar 1956-1972, Polamary 1972-1973, Golden Lion 1973-1979

Built by Cammell Laird, Birkenhead, England for the Irish Shipping Ltd. in 1956. Call sign EISK. Official number 400072. Homeport Waterford. Gross tonnage 8.012 tons, net tonnage 4.576 tons, deadweight 9.909 tons and as dimensions 420.4-449.0 x 62.0-62.3 x 39.0 x 27.7 feet. Sold to the Tower Shipping Co. Ltd, Cyprus in 1972, renamed Polamary, sold to the Golden Glory Shipping Co. Panama S.A. and renamed Golden Lion, sold to the Char Hsing Marine Co. Ltd., Taipei City, Taiwan, arrived at Kaohsiung, Taiwan arriving there on 15 June 1979 to be broken up.
