The Polish destroyers according to a CIA report dated 4 May 1953

An item reported that the Polish Navy possessed before the outbreak of the Second World War on 1 September 1939 and still in service over the destroyers Blyskawica and the Burza. The first was built in 1936 with a displacement of 2.200 tons, a speed of 39 knots, a crew numbering 200 men and an armament consisting of 8-4” anti aircraft guns, 4-4cm anti aircraft guns and 2x3-21” torpedo tubes. Fitted out with 2 director-control towers (DCT). The latter was built in 1921 with a displacement of 1.600 tons, a speed of 33 knots, a crew numbering 160 men and an armament of 1-3” anti aircraft guns and 1x3-21” torpedo tubes.
