Dutch Davis Strait whalers delayed their departure according to the Dutch newspaper Leydse courant dated 14 March 1729

 

An item dated Amsterdam, Netherlands 9 March reported that the Davis Strait whalers which left Amsterdam returned excluded 2 or 3 from Pampus due to the rising frost.
