The Provinciale Zeeuwse Courant dated 8 May 1946 reported that J.v.d. Graaf Bergings- en Transportbedrijf, Rotterdam, Netherlands cooperating with C. Sperling of the Steenkolen Handels Vereniging (S.H.V.) managed to salvage the 10.000 tons tanker Vlismar 3 (also called Vlismar III). She was scuttled by the Germans in the Buitenhaven in 1944. The Vlismar 3 was in 1934 bought as the British tanker Athelcrest. Built in 1917 as Olivet, completed as Elmleaf, renamed 1924 Athelcrest of the British Molasses Co. Ltd. And finally towed to Burcht, Belgium to be broken up in 1983.
