Japanese cargo passenger ship Genkai Maru 1938-1944

Kokai Maru

Similar to the Kokai Maru although with a counter stern. With accommodation for 12 passengers. Laid down by Tama Zosenho K.K., Tama, Japan with yard number 250 for Shimatani Kisen K.K., Kobe, Japan in 1938, launched in 1939, requisitioned by the Japanese Imperial Army on 26 October 1941, became Army auxiliary transport No. 962 and sunk on 12 September 1944 during an American air attack on Cebu, Philippines. Gross tonnage 3.851 tons, net tonnage 2.244 tons and as dimensions 340.4 z 48.2 x 26.2 feet.
