Lithuanian minelayer Jotvingis (N42) (1977) 2006-



Part of SNMCMG-1 (Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group One.

Laid down as the Norwegian coastal minelayer/command and support ship HNoMS Vidar (N52) by Mjellem&Karlsen, Bergen, Norway on 1 March 1976, launched on 18 March 1977, commissioned on 21 October 1977 and sold to Lithuania in 2006. Calls sign LYPM and MMSI 277005000. Displacement 1.700 tons (full load) and as dimensions 64,8 x 12 x 4 metres or 213 x 39 x 13 feet. Machinery consists of 2 marine diesel engines supplying via 2 shafts 4.200hp allowing a speed of 60 men. The armament consisted of 2-4cm guns, 2x3-32,4cm/12,75” torpedo tubes, 300-400 mines and a Mistral SAM launcher.
