The Belgium 3 mast frigate ship Don Juan in 1879

According to an annoucement in the Middelburgsche Courant dated 6 November 1869 was she lying at Vlissingen and the intention of her master H. Böttcher to sell on an auction 6.000 Bessemer rails stored in the govenment storehouse No. 8-9 in the Eerste Binnenhaven. Her homeport was Antwerp, Belgium. Underway towards Santa Catherina entered she on 25 June leaking Vlissingen and forced to ask for a loan of 40.000 Dutch guilders needed apparently for repair costs. She was docked there in the dry dock Dok van Perry. Called a frigate ship.
