The survivors of the lost whaler Nevrach according to the Dutch newspaper Limburger koerier dated 21 October 1897

An item reported that an whaler arrived at St. Michael, Alaska, USA with 14 survivors saved from a ice floe not larger than 20 square feet. All men had frozen limbes and five of them became insane during their 11 days stay. The men were crewmembers of the whaler Nevrach crushed by the ice.
