Whaler Sarah and Elizabeth departed from Tasmania according to the newspaper Colonial Times dated Tuesday 16 July 1839

An item reported the departure on 10 July of the barque Sarah and Elizabeth of 286 tons master Wakeling for the sperm whaling. Wakling took his spouse and child with him.
