Building ordered in 2015, laid down by Damen Galati shipyard, Galati, Australia, Romania wtih yard number 417 on 8 September 2017, name Nuyina announced on 29 September 2017, launched on 24 September 2018 and arrived on 29 August 2020 in Sloe/Vlissingen-Oost, Netherlands to be completed by Damen. Her name the Tasmanian Aborigines name for the southern lights. IMO 9797060, homeport Hobart, Australia. At the moment Romania-flagged, MMSI 264402017 and call sign YPNL. With a displacement of 25.500 tonnes and as dimensions 160,3 x 25,6 x 9,3 metres or 526 x 84 x 31 feet. Polar Class 3. Speed 3 ((in 1,65 metres/5 feet thick ice)-12 (cruising)-16 (maximum) knots. Range 16.000 nautical moles and an endurance of 90 days. Transport capacity 1.900 cubic metres/67.000 cubic feet cargo fuel, 1.200 tons cargo, 96 TEU and accommodation for 117 passengers. Her crew numbers 32 men. Able to take 4 helicopters with her for which she is fitted out with hangar and helideck.
