British cruiser GMS Calypso towed destroyer HMS Tobago to Istanbul, Turkey according to the Weekly Intelligence Summary No. 20 for the week ending 20 November 1920

C-class Caledon sub-class light cruisers

An item reported that the British destroyer HMS Tobago (1) hit a mine on a distance of 10 miles from Trebizond [Trabzon, Turkey] on 13 November and she was towed by HMS Calypso (2) to Constantinople, Turkey arriving there on 18 November to be docked.

Notes

1. Part of S-class destroyers, preceded by R and W-classes, succeeded by Modified W-class, building ordered in April 1917, laid down by Thornycroft in May 1917, launched on 15 July 1918, commissioned in October 1918, decommissioned on 15 December 1920 and sold at Malta on 9 February 1922 to be broken up.

2. Part of C-class Caledon sub-class light cruisers, preceded by Arethusa-class, succeeded by Danae-class, laid down by Hawthorn Leslie and Company on 17 February 1916, launched on 24 January 1917, commissioned on 21 June 1917 and sunk by the Italian submarine Alpino Bagnolini around 50 mails south of Cape Lithion, Crete, Greece on 12 June 1940.
