An item reported the launching on last Thursday 18:00 o’clock at the shipyard of Gebrs. van der Meer, Schiedam, Netherlands of the wood built lugger Batavier (VL 63) for account of the firm bookkeeper A. de Haan, intended skipper Jacob Veldheer.
