Japanese losses while invading Dutch East Indies unknown according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee. Daily summary dated 2 March 1942

An item reported that no official news became available dealing with the Japanese losses of transports while invading Java, Dutch East Indies during the last few days. On 27 February sunk American dive bombers one transport near Bawean Island and the press claimed that 2 Japanese cruisers were damaged above the losses reported on 1 March
