American merchant cargo ship design C1-S-D1 in 1946

Self propelled single screw concrete cargo vessel with raked stem and a modified cruiser stern. The steam reciprocating propulsion was located aft and supplied a normal horsepower of 1,300 ihp allowing a speed of 7 knots. Dimensions  366.4 (over all) x 54.0 (molded) x 35.0 (molded depth) x 27.3 (load draught molded) feet, deadweight 5,310 tons, gross tonnage 4,820 tons, net tonnage 3,400 tons and bale capacity 227,900 cubic feet. Prewar domestic cost 1,350,000 US dollars, domestic war cost  2,242,913 US dollars, unadjusted statutory sales price 675,000 US dollars and floor price 785,020 US dollars. Prize inapplicable under the terms of the Ship Sales Act of 1946 whole no dry cargo ships excluded the Liberty ships were to allowed to be sold for less than 35% of the dominic war cost.
