American merchant cargo ship design C3E in 1946

Steel built, raked stem and double knuckle stern. Shelter deck. Passenger accommodation not available. None cargo deep tanks provided. Dimensions 473.1 (over all) x 66.0 (molded) x 42.3 (molded depth) x 27.8 (load draught molded) feet, deadweight 9,900 tons, gross tonnage 6,736 tons, net tonnage 3,996 tons. Bale cubic capacity 551,000 cubic feet. The  amidships positioned turbine propulsion supplied 8,000 shp normal horsepower allowing a speed of 16.5 knots. Prewar domestic cost 2,300,000 US dollars, domestic war cost 3,143.964 US dollars, unadjusted statutory sales price 1,150,000 US dollars and floor price 1,100,387 US dollars
