The Jaarboek van de Koninklijke Nederlandsche Zeemacht 1913-1914 reported that the British battleship HMS Swifture (1) visited Sabang, Dutch East Indies between 15-17 October 1913. The Dutch newspaper De Preanger-bode dated Saturday 18 October reported her arriving on the Wednesday before at Sabang. The edition dated 9 September reported that she intended to visit at short notice Tandjnog Priok. The Bataviaasch nieuwsblad dated 10 September reported that rear admiral R.U. Peirse (2) intended to visit Sabang on 15 October. De nieuwe vorstenlanden dated 6 November described the arrival at Sabang on Wednesday 15 October with the common gun salutes. Peirse was welcomed by the Dutch coastal defence ship Hr.Ms. De Ruyter captain Sachse. Friday afternoon left the Swiftsure for Colombo, Ceylon.

Building ordered by Chile as the Constitución in 1901, laid down by Armstrong Whitworth, Elswick, England with yard number 733 on 26 February 1902, lauched on 12 January 1903, sold to the United Kingdom on 3 December 1903, renamed Swiftsure, completed in June 1904, commissioned on 21 June 1904, decommissioned in April 1917 and old to be broken up on 18 June 1920.
2. This must be Admiral Sir Richard Henry Peirse (4 September 1860 York, England-10 July 1940 Belmont, England, rear admiral since February 1909, appointed as Commander-in-Chief East Indies Station in 1913.
