An item reported that on 19 January the British submarine HMS L. 52 departed from Newcastle, England towards Portsmouth, England arriving there on 21 January.(1)

1. Part of L-class submarines, preceded by E-class, succeeded by Odin-class, laid down by Armstrong Whitworth, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England on 16 May 1917, launched on 18 December 1918 and sold to be broken up in September 1935.
