American cargo ship design C2-S-AJ3 in 1946

Modified C2-S-AJ1 design for military purposes. After reconversion into a cargo ship she would have characteristics similar to the standard C2-S-AJ1 design. Steel built with raked stem and cruiser stern. The passenger accommodation consisted of 4 x2 state rooms. The four deep tanks were located in hold No. 4. There were two basis C2 designs namely the C2-S-B1 and the C2-S-AJ1. Modified full scantling. Dimensions 459.1 (over all) x 63.0 (molded) x 40.0 (molded depth) x 27.0 (load draught molded) feet, deadweight 10,800 tons, gross tonnage 8,300 tons, net tonnage 4,8500 tons and bale cubic capacity 542,800 cubic feet. The amidships located turbines propulsion allowed with normal shippower of 6,000 shp a speed of 15.5 knots.
