An item reported that the Italy assumed the control over the Whitehead plant at Fiume [Rijeka, Croatia] and supplying the needed money to continue the labor. The local managers wanted to close down due that the unremunerative work done. The Italians reacted by piling u debt against the factory. The suggestion was that if control was needed this should be executed by a commission of the Allies.
