Former Austrian guard ships added to German Danube flotilla according to the Dutch newspaper Leeuwarder courant dated 23 March 1938

An item reported that Adolf Hitler ordered the commander-in-chief of the German navy to handle the transfer of the guard vessels of the former Austrian army stationed on the Danube to create a naval Danube flotilla. The newspaper De Gooi- en Eemlander added that the transfer included the personnel.
