French mine warfare vessel Thétis A785 1986-

France-flagged, homeport Brest France, MMSI 227801200 and call sign FYDC. Ex-Néreide. Hulle and machinery similar to La Pérouse-class. Used for mine warfare experimentation, especially for evaluation of detection systems and the use of submarine drones. Ordered as mine countermeasures trials ship on 11 October 1984, laid down on 8 March 1986, launched by Lorient Naval Dockyard, France on 15 November 1986, commissioned on 9 November 1988. Displacement 900-1,050(full load) tons, deadweight 720 tons and as dimensions 53.00 (between perpendiculars)-59.00 x 10.90 x 3.80 metres. Armament 2-12.7mm/0.5” machine guns. Crew mumbers 38 men including 2 officers excluding 7-10 technicians. Second unit planned but never built.
