Call sign JYCH. Built by Mitsubishi Jukogyo K.K., Kobe, Japan in 1935. Gross tonnage 4,180 tons, net tonnage 2,468 tons and as dimensions 360.00 x 50.0 x 29.0 x 9 (light)-24 (loaded) feet. Diesel propulsion, 246-370 nhp horsepower, oil bunker capacity 480 tons, range 16,000 nautical miles/14 knots and speed 14 (normal cruising)-7 (maximum) knots. Reguisitioned by the Japanese Imperial Navy and converted into the troop transport IJA No. 211 on 10 December 1941, torpedoed by the American submarine USS Sunfish (SS-281) on 4 September 1943 and run next day aground and lost.
