Call sign JKNC. Built by Mitsui Bussan Kaisha Ltd., Tama, Japan in 1932 and torpedoed and sunk by the American submarine USS Flounder on 17 June 1944. Gross tonnage 2,681 tons, under deck 2,043 tons, net tonnage 1,613 tons and as dimensions 299,2 x 43.0 x 22.7 x 9.6 (light)-19.6 (loaded) feet. Diesel propulsion, single screw, 270 nhp, fuel oil capacity 446 tons and speed 11 (normal cruising)-13.5 (maximum) knots. Identical to the passenger-cargo ship Nipponkai Maru requisitioned by the navy on 22 July 1938 and sunk on the position 06.33 north-127.55 east?
