Breaking up process started

Launched at the Petrovsky Shipyard, Leningrad [/St. Petersburg, Russia], Soviet Union as a Tarantul I-class missile corvette in 1954, commissioned in the East German navy in 1985, part of the German navy 1990, renamed Hiddensee (P6166), decommissioned in April 1991, handed over to the US Navy as USNS Hiddense, decommissioned in April 1997, became museum ship at Battleship Cove on 14 June 1997, lacking financial funds for sufficient maintenance causing a bad condition removed from the collection and towed begin October 2023 to Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA to be broken up.
