An item dated Amsterdam, Netherlands 5 September referred to tidings received from Rotterdam, Netherlands reporting that the French ships active on the Greenland whaling grounds consisted of 1-68 guns 550 men, 1-56 guns 500 men, 1-34 guns 300 men and 2 fluyts of 28 guns 250 men respectively 24 guns 200 men.
