Japanese group of seaplanes stationed in the New Britain area according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee. Daily summary dated 3 April 1942

An item reported that the Japanese had 3 groups of aircraft available in the New Britain area. One group of seaplanes was responsible for patrolling and defence against Allied ships in the area.
