British lost contact with Italian convoy underway to North Africa according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee. Daily summary dated 21 December 1941

An item reported that the British lost contact with 7 Italian transports and escort underway from south Italy towards North Africa. It was feared that the Italians succeeded in bringing reinforcements to Tripoli and Benghazi, Libya.
