Island Kastellorizo ceded to Italy according to the Weekly Intelligence Summary (W.I.S.) No. 10 dated 12 March 1921

An item reported that the island Castellorizzo [Kastellorizo] 80 miles east of Rhodea was on 2 March handed to the Italian admiral by admial Mornet of the French Mediterranean squadron. Under the Treaty of Sèvres the island was ceded to Italy but would probably under an agreement ceded by Italy to Greece.(1)

1. Assumed from France on 1 March 19211 and as Castelrosso part of the Italian Islands of the Aegean and assigned to Greece under the Paris Peace Treatied of 1947 and since 7 March 1948 formally part of Greece.
