German repair ship Huaskaran in early February 1942

Report dealing with the available repair ships, base ships and shipyards in early February 1942 mentioned the Huaskaran at Drontheim, Norway to replace the unfinished workshops at the naval yard at Drontheim. Able to maintain daily 3 medium sized submarines at the same time. Not able to execute high pressure hot steam repairs lacking qualified personnel. Accommodation for this kind of personnel just possible with decreaisng labour capacity for the submarines. Crewed with civilian labourers, able to depart and independent from connections with the shore.
