Schooner Catharina and Johanna plundered by a privateer of Carthagena according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 15 August 1818

New York, 11 July. The schooner Catharina and Johanna was near the island Cuba plundered by a privateer of Carthagena while underway from St. Thomas towards the United States. The privateer robbed around 6,000 dollars mostly property of a French passenger which was on board of the schooner.
