Dutch whaler Vreedenhoff for sale at Amsterdam according to the Dutch newspaper Amsterdamse Courant dated 2 January 1787

An announcement reported that the brokers T. Beth Ysbrandsz, H. Beth Tammes and J. Beth Brink intended to sell on an auction on Monday 29 October in the Nieuwezyds Heeren Logement at Amsterdam an extra ordinary well sailing fluytship Vreedenhoff, commandeur Cornelis Metzelaar, fitted out newly in 1740, dimensions 115 x 29’8½”x 12’5”, height verdeck 6’9” and height steering platform 9’4”, in 1785 fitted with a new large wand (hull?) and all the whale catchers tools property of the commandeur.
