Belgian gunboat Netta destroyed German gunboat Graf von Götzen on Lake Tanganyika according to the Dutch newspaper Het nieuws van de dag voor Nederlandsch-Indië dated 27 September 1916

According to an item reported the Belgian representatives at The Hague that in July a small squadron of floating planes departing from the Lake Tanganyika almost daily the German defence works of the harbour of Kigoma and the ships there bombarded. On 29 July attacked the Belgian gunboat Netta the German gunboat Graf von Götzen which was just landing troops. After 15 minutes was the latter sunk and were the German troops on the shore by the guns of the Netta dispersed.
