Designed by engineer M.F. Grunning. Triple cylinder hull. Laid down on 30 December 1954 at the Rotterdamse Droogdok Maatschappij with yard number 279, launched on 20 May 1959, commissioned on 16 December 1960, decommissioned on 29 April 1962 and sold on 22 July 1985 to the shipyard Heuvelman, Puttershoek and finally broken up at ‘s-Gravendeel.
Displacement 1,475 (standard surfaced)/1.530-1,795 (standard submerged)/1.826 (maximum) tons and as dimensions 260 x 25,75 x 14 feet or 76,5 x 7,8 metres.. The armament consisted of 8-21” torpedo tubes and she could take with her 24 torpedoes. Speed 14,5 (surfaced)-17 (submerged) knots. Her crew numbered 63-67 men.
