German cattle transport towards her Chinese territory according to the Dutch newspaper De Zeeuw dated 12 January 1910

An item reported that Germany was interested in improving the livestock in her Chinese territory Kiatsjou.(1) Recently departed a transport with on board a large number of Schleswig-Holstein and East Frisian breeding stock as cattle, pigs and goats. A veterinary was on board to care of the animals.

1. German had concessions in Tianjin (Tientsin), Hanjou (nowadays part of Wuhan) and on 6 March she leased for a period of 99 years Qingdao or Kiachow-Tsingtao Bay known as Kiatschou. The latter concession was since 14 November 1897 occupied by Germany. Despite the fact that this was Chinese territory and China cancelled on 23 August the lease was Kiatschou on 7 November of the same year occupied by the Japanese empire.
