An item dated Berlin 5 November referred to the newspapers Voss. Zeiting and Adeverul of Bucharest reporting that all Russian ships which sought refugee in Romanian Danube harbours were bought by the Romanian cabinet. A second item dated Vienna 5 November referred to the newspaper Sudsl. Korr. Which reported from Bucharest however that the Romanian cabinet ordered the seizure by Romanian authorities of all Russian ships anchored in the Romanian Danube harbours.
The first item was exactly published in an earlier edition dated Saturday 6 November. The second item however was far more expanded. To the text were the following details added. On board of the seized ships was the Romanian flag hoisted. In Turn Severn were in the morning of Tuesday all Russian ships seized and the Russian flag replaced by the Romanian. The crews were all removed. The item was sadly somehow mixed up. At least involved in the accident were seized the Russian steamships Triaspol. Turgenjef and Patriot. The newspaper De Tijd dated 6 November reported that at Gruja the steamships Triaspol, Turgenjei and Patriot and five lighters were seized, the crews removed and the ships now Romania flagged guarded by a Romanian patrol vessel.
