Venezuela buying Swedish ships according to the Dutch newspaper Amigoe di Curacao dated 8 March 1946

An item reported that a Venezuelan delegation bought for around 4.000.000 Swedish crones several Swedish ships with a total tonnage of 22,000 tons which orginally were build for Germany.

The edition dated 17 July reported that some planes belonging to the Linea Aerpostal left for Sweden with on board sailors and authorities to take over the ships bought there.

The edition dated 5 August referred to tidings from the Venezualan shipping company C.A. Venezolana de Navegación that the ships Tachira and Nueva Esparto each measuring 9,000 tons were loading cargoes at Antwerp, Belgium destined towards Venezuela where they were expected to arrive against August.
