Japanese minister of navy Shimasa Shigetaro placed on the list of reserves according to the Dutch newspaper Het Vaderland dated 22 January 1945
According to a tiding from the Japanese department of navy was the former minister of navy Sjigondaro Sjimada on his own request immediately placed on the list of reserves.(1)

1. Shimada Shigetaro (24 September 1883 Tokyo-7 June 1976 Tokyo)was minister in the cabinet of Tojo between 18 October 1941 and 17 July 1944. Admiral. Served during the war with Russia in 1904-1905 including the Battle of Tsushima. He was blamed as minister for the poor results of the Japanese navy.
