British transport Arcadian torpedoed according to the Dutch newspaper Vlissingse Courant dated 4 May 1917

An item reported that the British Admiralty announced that the British steamship Arcadian of 4,939 net tons with troops on board was torpedoed and sunk on 15 April in the eastern part of the Mediterranean. She sunk within five minutes. Of the men on board were 279 missing.
