British trawler Magpie became Dutch fishing vessel according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 3 June 1928

An item reported that the British steam trawler A  495 (Magpie) was bought by P. Valkenier e.a. of IJmuiden  and now fitted out conform the Dutch Ships Act. As the IJ.M.55 (Magpie) would she start within some days with the North Sea Fishery with as homeport IJmuiden. The edition dated 18 April reported that she was steel-build in Hull in 1896 and bought from the company A. Walker of Aberdeen by F.M. Schellings and others of IJmuiden. She measured 156 gross and 64 net register tons and arrived the 17th at the fishery harbour of Ijmuiden to be rebuilt according to the Dutch Shipping Act.

The edition dated 2 February 1934 reported her private sale by the N.V. Machine- en Scheepssmederij “De Nijverheid” at IJmuiden to the shipping company W. Kramer and J. Booy of IJmuiden. She was again to be used for the fishery as the IJ.M. 55 although renamed Vios IV.
