Dutch shipping company KPM ordered building of freighters according to the Dutch newspaper Het nieuws van den dag voor Nederlandsch-Indië dated 30 January 1929

An item dated Amsterdam 29 January reported that the Dutch shipping company KPM. ordered the building by the shipyard Scheepsbouw Maatschappij De Maas of two 1,175 tons freighters to be named Belawan and Blinjoe.
