French steamship Italia sold to the Netherlands to be broken up according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch Nieuwsblad dated 17 August 1923

An item reported that the Dutch firm Arie Rijsdijk-Boss&Zonen of Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht bought the French steamship Italia of 3,033 gross tons and build in 1898 from the French government to be broken up. The Dutch tug Seine of the company L.Smit en Co.’s Sleepdienst was underway to pick her up and passed the 15th Dungeness towards Brest.
