Indonesian navy needing new patrol boats according to the Indonesian newspaper Het nieuwsblad voor Sumatra dated 6 September 1957

An item reported that according to the chief staff of the Indonesian navy (the ALRI) vice admiral R. Subyakto the navy needed at that moment round fifty patrol boats. The boats were needed for the large number of men which ended their training in patrol duties. Main part of the boats which were in service at that moment were altered. Further more started the fight against corruption within the navy far more earlier as elsewhere.
